Selection depends on skin barrier integrity and the serum formulation; sensitive skin requires a prior assessment of tolerance.

Allergy to ingredients in the product used.
Infection, injuries or active dermatitis in the treatment area.
Electronic implants: suitability must be checked against the device instructions.
Pregnancy and epilepsy require checking the restrictions for the specific device.

Only formulations specified in the device protocol are used; the procedure is not equivalent to injecting a preparation.
